LipiX Technologies

LipiX Platform Technologies

LipiX Platform Technologies are comprised of Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) with Protein(s), Omega-3, Potassium, Zinc as well as other related vegetarian products. MCTs, Omega-3 and other listed nutrients are all Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) ingredients by the FDA.

Medium Chain Triglycerides are a very safe and energy rich fatty acid that is easily metabolized in the liver. It has been used as dietary oil for over one hundred years. The human body is less likely to store MCTs as it does with other fats and comparatively results in less weight gain. 1. Dietary MCTs are metabolized by the liver into ketones and released into the bloodstream. Ketones are absorbed by other cells like neurons, nephrons, cardiomyocytes, retinal cells, etc. and during occurrences of disease. Ketones that are not absorbed by cells are excreted out of the body.

Omega-3 fatty acids, such as EPA/DHAs, are essential fatty acids that are known to be cardio and neuro-protective, anti-inflammatory, and membrane integrity 2. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reviewed the available data regarding the relationship between DHA and EPA and cardiovascular disease and has authorized the use of the following claim:

“Supportive but not conclusive research shows that consumption of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. One serving of [Name of the food] provides [x] gram of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids.”

LipiX Platforms

LipiX platforms are conceivably synergistic because MCTs and their combination ingredients are metabolized and or transported differentially in different organelles of cells. For example, MCTs metabolize fatty acids in the mitochondria while omega-3s improve membrane integrity and immune support. It is likely that when MCTs and Omega-3 are used at certain unique ratios and in combination with protein, they may have even a more significant synergy in providing health benefits.
